The world of English language journalism in Israel is abuzz with the imminent launch of The Times of Israel, a new online English language news site. Headed by David Horovitz, former editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post and publisher of the Jerusalem Report, and staffed by top-notch journalists, the site will resemble the Huffington Post but will focus on offering a diversity of opinion about Israel and the Jewish world. You can take a peak at what will be on tap at the only page that is open to the public so far, the Ops & Blogs section, at http://blogs.timesofisrael.com
I’m pleased to report that I have been invited to post columns from this blog on The Times of Israel. Beginning shortly, I will be posting there most of what I write. However, this blog site will still remain active as is. The beginning paragraph(s) of every post that is published there will still appear here with a link to The Times site for the remainder of the column. Those who have subscribed to receive posts via email, Twitter, or RSS feeds (look at the right hand column if you want to subscribe) will continue to receive those without interruption.
This is a very exciting development and I hope The Times of Israel will help to broaden and bring many more people into the conversation about Israel. Stay tuned….
